Poems, Rhymes and Riddles

All alone, at sea, in the night
There in the darkness, I see a light
My mind’s eye flies out like a phantom over the waves
And goes aboard without a noise

There, in the cabin bright and cheery
I see what I want, hope and pray
The happiness and love of another day
A game of cards or a story told

The love of my life or a love of old
Anticipation and conversation
New ideas and irritation
Laughter and camaraderie

All alone on this big dark sea
My mind’s eye sees what it wants to see
